The Life of a Dog

The Life of a Dog

By: Gus Calvo
It takes a hundred years of solitude,
one hundred years to a man to learn to love,
but it takes a quarter of a century to a dog.
Eternity seems such a lonely word,
and even a hundred years of solitude.

Why it takes us too much to love.?
But it takes us only one second to hate.
Why we can't love unconditionally.?
They don’t hate,
they seem to trust right away.
They always look for company whenever they'd faced loneliness.

No hate, whenever you are gay, black or straight;
they will be faithful companions and will show unconditional love;
is unacceptable when they are being mistreated,

because they don't know how to cause harm.
