The Army of Silence

By: Gus Calvo-Simmons

Waking up in nothing/
all the sounds exploding/
the colorful waves undulating in the sky
listen to a beautiful emptiness,
where only the voices in my head scream,
I try to wake up/
the handcuffs are putting pressure down my bones,
I feel the scent of dust,
I want to reap my skin because it burns,/
all the people run,
but they seem to be static,/
they wave in silence,/
while the music plays in one night,/
people keep screaming,
the mute sound scribbles downs the papers
and the mask are torn
